Egyptian writing is believed to have been used since c. 3100 BC to 400 AD This is horizontal from right to left, left to right and in other cases vertical top to bottom.

Hieroglyphic writing is perhaps the oldest in the world and still survive the test of time. For several centuries it was impossible for translation and decryption so beautiful symbols called by the ancients as "The Words of God" and regarded by foreigners as "Holy Scripture" because, even being invaded Egypt by the Greeks and Romans, they took the Egyptian writing and language.
